We have crafted our recipes for more than 90 years to bring you an unforgettable experience of bold cacao flavor.
2. Cocoa
We have an uncompromising dedication to quality. What is the process for quality cocoa? The cocoa beans are harvested and fermented until they reach their sweet ripeness, after which they are sun dried and sorted carefully to meet our high expectations. The quality beans are then roasted to perfection, winnowed to leave only the wonderful cocoa nib. These nibs are then ground down into cocoa liquor where the cocoa butter is separated.
3. Recipe
4 Simple high-quality ingredients, that is all that is in our chocolate. The blend and process is a safely guarded secret. But the ingredients are simple: unsweetened chocolate, sugar, low-fat cocoa, and sunflower Lecithin. No soy. No added aromas. No preservatives. No compromises.
4. People
Most of our employees have been with us for years. Without them, Bouchard wouldn't be the same. Highly skilled employees, who are like family to us, and careful quality control are key to the quality of our chocolate.
